The rooms were really cozy and comfortable, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. I loved the fact that they had a kitchen with a microwave, perfect for quick snacks or preparing a simple meal. Plus, the air conditioning kept us cool during hot summer days.
The shared bathroom wasn't my favorite, but I know some people don't mind.

I had an amazing stay at this cozy hostel in Melbourne. The value for money was great and the room was super comfortable. The location couldn't be better, with the tram station right outside and the famous Victoria Market across the road. The staff at reception were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had a smooth check-in and check-out experience. The bar downstairs had a great vibe with good music, perfect for younger people.
The breakfast experience could be improved with more variety.

The location was perfect because it was walking distance to the market and right on the tram lines, making it easy to get around. , the couple running it were helpful in recommending local spots to check out. I also appreciated the spacious and clean rooms.
The staff was quite rude and unwelcoming at times, which put a damper on my business trip. The shared spaces, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, were also quite small and infrequently cleaned, leading to a somewhat unpleasant experience.

Loved exploring the State Library and shopping at Block Arcade. Conveniently close to Melbourne Central Station. The airport was just a hop away at Essendon Fields. So much fun to stay at a hostel with a bar and free WiFi!
Oh, and who doesn't enjoy unmade beds, narrow lockers, and a maze-like layout? Such a delightful experience.

the hostel was always clean and the staff was super helpful. One thing that stood out was the fact that each bed had its own sockets attached to the posts, which was really helpful. the location was perfect, we were able to explore a new area of the city and the weekly deep cleaning of every room was a nice plus.
That the kitchen was regularly monitored, which some may find a bit invasive. Another aspect was that the hostel wasn't the typical backpacker party hostel, which may disappoint those looking for a wild time.

The rooms at Queen Victoria Hostel are perfect for nature lovers like me. I felt so connected to nature with the shared bathroom featuring a shower, giving me that refreshing feeling after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shared bathroom. However, I understand that this is a subjective opinion, and others may not mind it at all.

I recently stayed at this four-star hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect for exploring the city, as it is just outside the hustle and bustle of the city center. I loved the fact that it is right across from the Queen Victoria Market, making it incredibly convenient for grabbing a delicious meal or shopping for fresh produce. Additionally, the hotel is located in the free tram zone, which made getting around the city a breeze.
In short, I highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

It was also in a great location right in the city centre, so getting to the train station to catch the bus to the airport was a breeze. the breakfast was decent, and the staff was friendly, and the bathroom was fairly clean. Plus, the nearby Queen Victoria Market was a fantastic spot to grab some good food.
The cleanliness of the hostel was disappointing.

I loved my recent stay at the hostel. the staff at Queen Victoria was incredibly helpful and always eager to assist with any issues or questions. They even went above and beyond by adding individual sockets to the beds after noticing guests charging their phones downstairs. the personal touch and effort to get to know every guest, like Lydia remembering our names, made the experience even better. the hostel also prioritized cleanliness by regularly washing kitchen towels, monitoring cleanliness, and conducting deep cleaning of rooms. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore a different side of the city while still being within the free tram zone for easy access to the center. Cons: Nothing, it is perfect! 😊.
